Welcome!

Exeter Male Voice Praise is a choir of 28 Christian men, who enjoy meeting together and singing God’s praises to a wide variety of audiences and congregations.

All the venues we sing at are open to everyone to come and listen.

We live mainly in the Exeter & mid – Devon areas.  We practice in Exeter, and although most of our engagements are on “home territory”, we do sing all over Devon and into neighbouring counties.  Our choir men come from many denominations, and we are happy to sing the message of God’s love wherever we are asked.

About Us

The choir was formed in 1969, and we have 2 founder members still singing with us, including the conductor Alfred Tarring.  However, we also have some younger men singing with us, with a wide selection of gift.  We always try to ensure that our programmes are varied, with items and music that will suit everyone.

We are affiliated to The Festivals of Male Voice Praise, an organisation of Christian choirs worldwide, but mostly in the UK.  These choirs are happy to sing in churches, chapels, retirement homes, prisons…. any list would not be exhaustive!  Each area organises an annual Festival, and we enjoy singing with other choir men at Bristol, Swansea, Cheltenham, Truro and sometimes further a field.

Our own Festival at Exeter is normally held on the 3rd Saturday in April. In 2018 we changed to a new venue -

St. Thomas Methodist Church, 110 Cowick Street, Exeter. EX4 1JE.
